OBU Racing

I only made it to the Track on Sunday and apparently missed some action mishaps from Saturday.  Was nice spinning some laps after a 2 month break.  I did Time Attack and 2nd in my class with a lap time of 1:16.865  not bad for the porker that the audi is, But I bet i could shave 2 seconds with some cleaner lines.

How killer is this photo.

The car ran really good besides a few over heating issues that were easily solved. The new rims and tires were amazing. The toyo RA1’s offer amazing grip, i surely picked up 3-4 seconds a lap.

This unassuming 240 has a new LS1 v8 in it.. lets just say that it will eat you alive. When i did some laps with chris in his 240, i could not stop laughing like a kid everytime he punched it on the straights.. that car is a evil fast.

I picked up a set of Bilstein Coilovers from Eric @ vividracing.com. Got the installed this weekend. Here are some pics. Car is a little too low.. After the springs break in I will raise it probably 1/2 inch all aroun to reduce tire rub.

It was a kick a$$ event Saturday at Firebird. There was road racing and drifting all evening. Probably 2,000 people there throughout the night. The Audi was running pretty bad early on in the 100+ heat. Once the sun went down the car came back and I was putting in some nice laps.. but my sessions were cut short by a problematic Intercooler hose that felt it needed to blow off, twice… c’mon 17psi of boost is’nt that much. Enjoy the photo’s and vids. And props to the NASA Arizona crew for another great event.
