NASA Arizona will be holding an event this Saturday at Firebird Main. 4 classes of Driver Education, Time Attack, Drifting, and of course balls out road course Racing. 7:30-4:30pm, Drop by and say hello or watch. Don’t be lame, keep the racing on the track.

A client of mine stopped by the office today and we got to chatting. Of course cars came up so we happen to walk out to the parking lot and I proceed gawking at his new BMW M5. 1 minute later, he is riding shotgun while I pummel the throttle up and down some sidestreets by my office. Then we turn on the “M” Mode and awaken another 100 ponies, Then for the heck of it we turn off the traction control. Now this is where it really gets fun. The ass end breaks lose at about 20mph and of course the only remedy is more throttle and some counter steer up to around 90mph.. as we pass a black 625 out for Tuesday stroll. Holy shit that car is crazy. Took a good 3 minutes for my heart rate to return to normal.

Now I love my Audi’s and truth be told I would trade my A4 for an RS6 before an M5, but BMW has made a beast that is way fun to drive.
